Open shelves break up the tall run of cabinetry, keeping everyday pieces within easy reach. With built-in outlets, the niche is ideal for an appliance garage or other organized storage.
Elena and Mark knew right away that renovating the kitchen in their home in Satna Monica would require the most significant changes. While the kitchen retained its charm, it seemed outdated. They wanted a lighter, more functional space.
"We always wanted something simpler," says Elena. "We wanted a calm space, not overly detailed, just a kitchen."
That's how they came across Corner's Japandi kitchens. Elena and Mark were attracted to the soft tones and texture of the wood. The couple immediately contacted the company and began sharing their ideas with the designers.

The island combines Japandi refinement with modern practicality through its built-in oven, where light oak and stainless steel create a balanced, unified aesthetic.
The island, located parallel to the main line of cabinets, became the main workspace. With a light oak veneer finish and a built-in hob, it blends seamlessly into the interior and provides ample space for all household tasks.
"This is where we cook, eat, and talk. It's basically our dining table," says Mark.
Most of the cabinet fronts are handleless, giving the interior a sense of unity and tranquility. Where additional convenience is required, neat handles are provided. Open shelves break up the line of tall cabinets and form a functional niche for everyday items, such as a coffee machine, toaster, and a few ceramic pieces. Everything is visible yet neat and well-thought-out.

The stainless steel, built-in refrigerator adds a contemporary accent to the kitchen. The combination of a matte beige hue and soft metallic sheen strikes a thoughtful balance between warmth and texture.
In the evening, the kitchen takes on an especially warm glow as light from the living room softly diffuses throughout the room and reflects off the wooden surfaces.
"This is our favorite moment," says Elena. "The atmosphere is calm and cozy, just as we imagined."
